Bio: Coach Young has been coaching softball for over 20 years. He has coached high school softball since 2009, and at the Varsity level since 2013 in highly successful programs at Westlake, Thousand Oaks, and Oak Park High Schools. He also coached travel ball for many years.
Philosophy: Being a high school softball coach is first and foremost about teaching and helping students become responsible young adults; JV players dedicate just as much time and effort to the program as do Varsity players, and it is the duty of all coaches - especially the Varsity head coach – to interact with all players in the program with the same level of dignity and respect.
