Bio: Carol Leandro, MPT -
Carol Leandro is a licensed Physical Therapist with nearly 25 years of experience and currently helps lead an outpatient practice in Ojai. Raised in Southern California, she earned her B.A. in Aquatic Biology from UC Santa Barbara and later served as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Eastern Caribbean, where she led community education projects. She went on to earn her Master’s in Physical Therapy from Cal State Northridge.
Carol has a long-standing commitment to youth athletics. She coached with the Ventura Tigres Youth Track Club for eight years and started the middle school cross-country team at Oak Grove School. She joined the Dragons coaching staff in 2021 and is also an active member of the Ventura Running Tribe.
Carol is the proud mother of Carly (FTHS Class of 2020) and Chance (Class of 2025). In her free time, she enjoys running, triathlons, weight training, yoga, and mountain biking.
Philosophy: Cross Country is an ideal sport for any athlete looking to excel in athletic competition. Many of our athletes compete in multiple sports and learn how to increase their speed and improve their agility during the cross country season.
